© 2024, Sean Teegarden (eap) Tomorrow is the day: Schlitterbahn Waterpark & Resort in New Braunfels, Texas opens the new kids area “Schatze’s Storybrook Park” with the first mini version of the “Master Blaster” water coaster from WhiteWater, allowing kids to ride alone if they are one meter or taller. The “Bow Wow Blaster” – the name of the new attraction – can be found in one of three new mini themed areas with a total of six new slides, a splash pad, tipping bucket and more than 70 interactive water play elements. The new attractions were supplied by Canadian waterslide manufacturer WhiteWater West. Also, there is a matching new souvenir store right next to “Schatze’s Storybrook Park”, where visitors can find “Schatze” souvenirs.

“We have an epic season planned in 2024 with the addition of Schatze’s Storybrook Park and other great new amenities and experiences for our guests,” said Darren Hill, Vice President and General Manager of Schlitterbahn. “These improvements to the park support our ongoing commitment to provide innovative, refreshing fun that brings families together to create lifelong memories and traditions that span generations.”

In addition to the new kids’ area, the wild river tube slide “Hillside Tube Chute” has been reimagined with a new bypass and the “Hillside Terrace” has been equipped with new restrooms, lockers and changing rooms. Also, there is now a Fast Lane, which allows visitors to spend less time waiting and more time sliding. ■
