Ten Millionth Guest at Georgia Aquarium

We already reported (issue 2/2006) about the opening of the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta / USA in November 2005. This year in June the Aquarium welcomed its ten millionth guest after nearly four years of operation, setting a new attendance record for U.S. aquariums. Annette Kalber, the lady who was the milestone visitor, received a variety of gifts and coupons by the Aquarium and other sponsors. Since its opening there have been many changes and improvements at Georgia Aquarium. In November 2010, the Aquarium will open an 84,000 square foot (7,800 sqm), 110 million dollar expansion for a bottlenose dolphin exhibit. Dolphin encounters, viewing windows and dolphin shows will be offered to the visitors. (eap)
