Austria: Construction Start for New Sauna Experience in Bad Schallerbach

Last Tuesday saw the construction start for a new sauna experience world at Eurotherme Spa Resort Bad Schallerbach in Austria (cp. EAP news from March 5, 2015). Plans call for the construction of a tree-house sauna facility, which will offer different “forest adventure infusions” and a magnificent view of the mountain village relaxium area of the thermal spa. By taking this step, Eurothermen respond to their increasing visitor numbers – in the last 20 years around three million guests visited the sauna area of Eurotherme Bad Schallerbach alone. A total of eleven million euros will be invested in the new sauna area, which will be spread over three floors. Highlights of the new sauna area include an event sauna, exclusive relaxing chalets and a lady spa. During construction works, the operation of the relaxium area will be partly restricted until the end of July. In August and September, the relaxium area is expected to be fully closed until the new sauna experience will be officially opened in October. (eap)
