Auvergne/France: Vulcania Opens New Attraction – Le Ballon des Puys

Following the opening of the dark ride „Volcans sacrés” in the last year (we reported on this in EAP issue 3/2013), France’s science and amusement park Vulcania delighted its guests this year with the opening of its brand-new “Ballon des Puys” attraction on June 5, 2014. The tethered balloon supplied by Aérophile climbs 150 meters high (depending on weather conditions) and enables up to 30 passengers to enjoy the amazing view on the Natural Park of Auvergne Volcanoes. The balloon ride takes about ten minutes and costs 4.50 Euros per adult. Another new feature at Vulcania this season is the new Australian film “La Terre gagnera”, which is shown on a 415 square meter screen. (eap)
