Compagnie des Alpes Sale of Seven Theme Parks Completed

The negotiations concerning the sale of seven leisure parks announced at the end of December by the Compagnie des Alpes Group are finished. Agreements are signed and the new owner, the H.I.G. Capital Consortium (consisting of H.I.G. Capital France and Laurent Bruloy), will implement a strong business plan designed to step up expansion of the parks. This will be done by means of a planned investment program of nearly 20 million Euros over five years. The Compangie des Alpes Group still has a minority stake of 30 percent whereas the acquisition holding company owns 70 percent of the parks. By the way: Since January 14, 2011, the Compagnie des Alpes Group is the principal shareholder of the French theme park Futuroscope, with an ownership of 45 percent of the share capital of the park’s operating company.
