Eight New Slides for Säntispark

On Monday, June 15, the construction works at Switzerland’s Säntispark for the expansion of the water park and sauna area have started. This past January, Säntispark’s operator, Migros Ostschweiz, had submitted the application for the construction of eight new slides with a total length of 1,500 meters, of which the longest one will measure 180 meters. Two of the slides will run parallel to each other so that two persons can start simultaneously and compete against each other. “We are happy to see that finally the construction works have started after several months of planning”, Catherine Zimpfer, the director of Säntispark Freizeit, comments. In the first step the tower will be built before the slides can be attached next spring. The new attraction is expected to open in fall 2016. Currently Säntispark’s outdoor and children’s pools as well as the sauna world are already being modernized. The total investment volume amounts to 46 million Swiss Francs (around 44 million Euro).
