England: Simworx to Develop Cartoon Network Media-based Attractions

The UK-based company Simworx, which has specialized in the development of media-based dynamic simulation attractions, announced in June this year the cooperation with Cartoon Network, one of the leading providers in the global children’s entertainment industry headquartered in the USA. Both companies aim to develop new attractions featuring Cartoon Network’s famous TV serials – the range of offer will include immersive tunnels, 3D and 4D theaters, advanced dark rides, robocoaster rides and fully themed, multi-experience attractions. The attraction’s design will solely theme Cartoon Network characters and IP-brands like the animated television serial “Adventure Time”. “We are of course thrilled to be working with Cartoon Network in the creation of what will be some hugely thrilling and entertaining attractions based on their world famous cartoon characters and IPs. This is a tremendous opportunity for both parties to add further to our product and licensing portfolios and with Simworx’s continually expanding product range there is massive potential for the development of some very exciting and memorable attractions,” commented Terry Monkton, Managing Director at Simworx. Maria Rosaria Milone, Senior Director Category Management at Cartoon Network EMEA, added: “Fan engagement with the ‘Adventure Time’ brand is at an all-time high and we’re excited to be teaming up with Simworx to create these new, immersive themed entertainment experiences. This deal is a first-of-its-kind for Cartoon Network and we have every confidence that, with our amazing storylines and visual assets, Simworx will deliver on what they do best.” (eap)
