(eap) Faarup Sommerland amusement park in northern Denmark also features its own water park as a nearby facility, where guests of all age groups can enjoy themselves during the summer months from June to August. There are attractions such as a free-fall slide, a wide wave slide with four lanes, a heated wave pool, an adventure river and a toddlers’ pool with splash elements.

There will be two exciting new features at Aquaparken this summer: A “Boomerango” raft water slide with a Boomerango and a Tailspin element and a Racer slide with two parallel lanes. According to the park, the former is the world’s first installation of this attraction from Canadian manufacturer WhiteWater West, which combines the two elements of Boomerango and Tailspin. In three-person rafts, guests experience a fast and varied descent on the giant slide, which will get the name of “Stormfloden”. The Racer slide “Flodraketten” (also from WhiteWater), which starts from the same slide tower, includes both closed tube and open half-pipe sections, where those sliding can see each other and enjoy an exciting competition feeling. Both new attractions are set to open in mid-June this year, to provide even more splashy water fun during summer.

Faarup Sommerland amusement park reopens its gates as of next week (April 26). One of the park’s highlight attractions is “Fønix”, a Wildcat Coaster from Dutch manufacturer Vekoma Rides, which opened two years ago (check out our cover story in EAP 3/2022). ■
