In the course of the 2022 season, which will start at Allgäu Skyline Park on 1 April, the visitor offer of the amusement park located near Bad Wörishofen in Bavaria will be complemented by three new rides. Catered for a family audience, a family roller coaster with a cute train design (see sample image) is currently being built on the site of the former bobsled run. Called “Flotter Otto”, it will take up to 18 guests per ride through a winding, 140-meter-long track with two upward spirals and two camelbacks.

Another new roller coaster also for the whole family is being built with the attraction “Berg- und Tal Hetz”, which is a launch coaster that travels at speeds of up to 50km/h. In an alpine horn sled look, a total of seven carriages, each with two guests, take the passengers to a starting height of 13 meters to ride through the exciting track with camelback elements and an over-inclined panoramic curve with a small drop, which will make your stomach tingle.

For daring overhead pilots, the third new attraction, dubbed “Looping Alois”, will provide adrenaline-soaked fun – an interactive ride in which the six gondolas in the style of double-decker airplanes can be steered up and down as well as rotating sideways by the guests using joysticks. Up to seven loops per minute will be possible. All three new rides will be supplied by Italian manufacturer SBF-Visa Group.

In addition, the existing ghost train ride – which has been offering guests spooky fun since 1979 and has had its place at Allgäu Skyline Park since 2019 – will undergo a redesign for the upcoming season and reopen as “Geisterbahn 2.0”. Not only the tracks and the technology of the ride were renewed, but also the characters and scenes within the ride were renovated and redesigned. In terms of events, the park will be holding a “Leuchtende Phantasiewelten” (Eng.: Luminous Fantasy Worlds) event on the park grounds for the first time this year, during which guests can take an evening stroll through the park, which will be specially illuminated for this purpose, and enjoy the view from selected rides.
