After Germany’s outdoor swimming pool facility Moskaubad, which is operated by Stadtwerke Osnabrück, opened its “Jungle Path” (G.: “Dschungelpfad”) ropes course last year (c.f. EAP news from March 15th, 2016), children can now already look forward to trying out new play elements such as trampolines, a water playground and a climbing rock which will be inaugurated tomorrow after a construction phase of four weeks. The playground landscape, which is also accessible for visitors in the outdoor swimming pool off-season, attracted around 12,000 “jungle guests” last year, nearly doubling the expected attendance figures of 6,500 visitors.

“We are very satisfied that we could finish our construction works in due time for spring – with our ‘Jungle 2.0’ project we hope to welcome even more visitors this year,” said Wolfgang Hermle, head of the bathing complexes. Seven Eurotramp trampolines of different sizes and a nearly three meter high climbing rock from Kago&Hammerschmidt have been added to the ropes course. Also, the landscape architects of Die Grünplaner designed a water play structure including pupms, seesaw streams, tubes and weirs. (eap)
