Germany: Potts Park Launches “Hobelflug”

In April this year, Germany’s Potts Park located in Minden presented its new “Kiddy Racer” attraction to visitors (c.f. EAP, 3/17). The mini coaster features a beautiful soapbox design and offers young park guests their first rollercoaster ride experience. Now, in due time for the summer holidays, the park has launched another new attraction aimed at kids up from a body size of 90 cm (accompanied by an adult). “Hobelflug” offers a tour on a “Stone Age motorcycle”, where young racers can take a seat in one of the eight gondolas, each featuring two seats. Greetings from the Flintstones. The handhold of the motorcycle can lift the gondolas pneumatically into the air, the riders’ safety is ensured by lap bars. The new carousel, which measures almost five meters in height, was supplied by Metalltechnik Kirschner. (eap)
