Osnabrück/Germany: Nettebad and Schinkelbad Add New Sauna Offer to their Portfolio

Around 1.25 million guests visit Osnabrück’s three swimming pool and bathing complexes Nettebad, Schinkelbad and Moskaubad per year (cp. EAP news from 22 Jan 2014). A result that was not least achieved through the ongoing investments of Stadtwerke Osnabrück. Now the public utilities raised certain rates at Nettebad (including its Loma Sauna) and Schinkelbad at the middle of this month. According to Stadtwerke Osnabrück, the rate increase is necessary due to higher energy and staff costs. But to the delight of visitors, the sauna offer of Nettebad and Schinkelbad were expanded this month, too. “Kuuma Sauna” is the name of the new infusion sauna offering up to 45 seats and state-of-the-art LED illumination. Schinkelbad was complemented by the addition of a new, barrier-free non-nude sauna. (eap)
