Special Exhibition “ausgeflippt“ at phaeno Wolfsburg, Germany

Up to September 9, 2015 visitors of the Science Center „phaeno – The World of Phenomena” in Wolfsburg, Germany have the possibility to see the special exhibition “ausgeflippt”. In cooperation with the American Pacific Pinball Museum famous and popular pin-ball machines are presented and exhibition attendants get the chance to try the machines and learn about the techniques behind the devices.

In addition to the pin-ball machines, artistic constructions are in the focus of the exhibition. “Galactic Dimension”, for example, is a three times six meter giant pin-pall machine developed by Niklas Roy from Berlin. It enables the visitors to move the ball by using household appliances like ventilators or hairdryers. The ball is then shot into the middle of the exhibition via a ramp. A huge calculator can be used in order to compete against the other visitors.

Further highlights are musical pin-ball instruments from Australia which can play spacy sounds and electric music as well as wooden pin-ball machines from France. Besides, devices made of glass allow interested visitors to take a look at the electro-mechanical inside of a pin-ball machine. (eap)
