Sweden: 7,000 Visitors Attended EAS 2015 in Gothenburg

According to organizer International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA) around 7,000 people from 96 countries visited this year’s Euro Attractions Show (EAS) which took place from October 6 to 8 at Gothenburg’s Svenska Messan Exhibition Center. Even though a new record in attendance figures was not set – last year the European leisure fair welcomed about 10,800 visitors – the IAAPA is satisfied with the result of the first EAS held in Scandinavia. Occupying an exhibition space of 10,500 square meters 408 companies from all over the world presented their new products. As Gothenburg’s exhibition halls are located directly at Liseberg amusement park several evening events, seminars and additional events were hosted in the park. “Going north was a good idea; EAS 2015 performed above expectations. The location of Liseberg right next to the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Center provided attendees with a fully integrated park and Expo experience. This made the entire event inspiring, hands-on, and very enjoyable for all attendees,” Karen Staley, Sr. Vice-President for IAAPA EMEA, comments on the show. The EAP January issue will feature a detailed report about EAS 2015. (eap)
