UAE: New Alpine Coaster “Jais Sledder“ Expands Jais Adventure Park

The Jais Adventure Park, located in the Arab Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah on Jebel Jais (the highest mountain peak in the UAE), which especially offers adventure activities and experiences for visitors, has recently added a new attraction: Since recently, guests have been able to take a downhill ride on the new “Jais Sledder“ summer toboggan run and enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding desert mountains.

This new attraction, operated by Dubai-based Warrior Group, is a track-guided Alpine Coaster from German manufacturer Wiegand, equipped with sled cars for two people each (seated one behind the other). Passengers can travel along the 1,840-metre-long track at speeds of up to 40 km/h. One descent takes about eight minutes.

In addition to the new Alpine Coaster, visitors to the Jais Adventure Park can also choose from activities such as a gliding flight on the “Jebel Jais Zipline”, which takes off from a height of 1,680 metres above sea level (cf. EAP News of 1 Feb 2018), and a climbing adventure in the “Jebel Jais Sky Maze“ (a high ropes course by KristallTurm) for an exciting stay.

In addition to the Alpine Coaster attraction in Ras Al Khaimah, Wiegand recently installed two new long stainless steel slides with light effects at the World Trade Center in Abu Dhabi, where entertainment and attractions are regularly added to the shopping offer. (eap)
