UK: New VR Parachute Experience at Adventure Parc Snowdonia

Located in the west of England, Adventure Parc Snowdonia attracts visitors with an extensive range of adventure sports offers, including an artificial surfing facility by Wavegarden, high ropes courses, mountain biking and hiking routes (read also our article special series on “Adventure Sports Parks” in EAP 2/21 & 4/21). Now, guests can also experience the new “ParadropVR Pod” VR parachute experience here. This new multiplayer system from Frontgrid is based on the “ParadropVR” product introduced in 2017. The new compact Pod version comes without the need of an operator and is conceptualized to be another source of revenue for venues as an arcade offering.

Frontgrid’s CEO Matt Wells says: “After 18 months of product development, it is very exciting to see ParadropVR Pod live on location and people coming off the ride and saying simply – ‘WOW’. From a customer experience point of view. There is simply nothing like it. It’s exhilarating to play, you can choose your own character and take part in a global league. As the experience is multiplayer, you can literally fly with your friends and see them in the VR environment.  It really is the forefront of competitive socialising.”

Visitors can look forward to embark on exciting adventure journeys as explorers – ParadropVR Pod currently features three different game contents. The new location at Adventure Parc Snowdonia marks Frontgrid’s first Paradrop installation of this type in the UK (eap)
