USA: Pursuit Brings FlyOver Attraction to Chicago – Opening Scheduled for 2023

Pursuit, the US attractions and hospitality company with a portfolio including experiences such as FlyOver Canada (in Vancouver), FlyOver Iceland (in Reykjavik) and the newest FlyOver Las Vegas flying theatre which opened in fall 2021 (cf. EAP 6/21), has recently announced another location for the FlyOver brand: FlyOver Chicago is scheduled to open as early as next year. It is intended to give guests a bird‘s eye view of Chicago‘s highlights and spectacular landscapes in the surrounding area and beyond. The attraction, which will have a similar design to the existing FlyOver facilities – that all feature an extensive pre-show area and i-Ride systems with a 6 DOF motion platform, a dome screen and special effects (i-Ride: Flying Theater type by Brogent) – is to be realized at Navy Pier in Chicago in the existing building of a former IMAX cinema not far from the Centennial Wheel directly on Lake Michigan. Construction will start this spring and the opening is scheduled for fall 2023.
