Germany: Berlin’s New Visitor Attraction “Museum of Illusions“ Now Open

Germany’s capital of Berlin recently saw the opening of a new visitor attraction: Centrally located at Alexanderplatz, the new Museum of Illusions (G.: “Museum der Illusionen”) is now welcoming its first guests, enthusing them with over 80 exhibits. Optical and haptic illusions, holograms, games and kaleidoscopes are part of the interactive offer. Specially marked photo points encourage guests to take “selfies” and other pictures, strengthening the illusive effect of some installations such as the “dwarf and giant” or the “head without torso”.

The new visitor attraction is aimed at the whole family: Kids can enjoy themselves in designated play areas, putting together 3D puzzles out of sustainable wooden toys (from Dilemma Games) and other things. A museum shop rounds off the offer for visitors. The location can also be booked for birthday parties or business events. (eap)
