Austria: Hiking, Quizzing and Sliding Fun in Kirchberg

This summer, the “GOASberg Quiztour“, a family-friendly and educative hiking route offer, which is organized by Tourismusverband Kitzbüheler Alpen – Brixen, will take place again in the Austrian village of Kirchberg in the Kitzbühel Alps. The existing themed hiking trail, which is all about the flora and fauna of the region, has been equipped with numerous display boards and eight additional learning stations. For an interactive hiking experience visitors can purchase a quiz box at the valley station or at the “Gaisstüberl“ located at the beginning of the trail. The box features quiz questions and tasks which can be solved at the different stations. Additional attractions at the trail include a wobbly bridge, climbing structures as well as a picknick area and a giant swing. German slide manufacturer Wiegand also supplied four slides for the trail which wind down a hillside. The EU subsidised the restructuring of the area as a “LEADER project“. (eap)
