TUI Plans Tourism Project a là “Land Fleesensee“ in Tuscany

With the purchase of an 11-square kilometre site with a number of old buildings, a medieval castle, a hotel, 18-hole golf course and meadows, TUI is planning the largest tourism project in Tuscany and in the company’s history. For this unique project, “Tenuta di Castelfalfi S.p.A” has been founded, 85% of the shares of which are held by TUI, with the remaining 15% being held by the previous Italian owner. The volume of investment lies in a mid-three-figure million range. The existing village with a church and castle is to be renovated and new elements added in line with its function as a tourist destination. These new features will include a wellness area, various restaurants and boutiques. If permission from the local authorities is granted, another three hotel concepts – a ROBINSON Club, a village hotel and an Iberotel – and villas and apartments with the necessary infrastructure will also be constructed on the premises. The existing golf course is to also be expanded and upgraded. (eap)
