Netherlands: Europe’s First Peppa Pig World of Play to Open in the Netherlands

© 2021 Hasbro/MerlinSoon the first Peppa Pig World of Play in Europe will be opened at the new Westfield Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam, on the outskirts of the city of The Hague. This was announced by the British operating group Merlin Entertainments (Merlin) today. In more than twelve areas of play, children aged one to six will be able to let their imaginations run wild, immersing themselves fully in the world of the Peppa Pig family and his friends from the popular TV series. The indoor play center will cover an area of 1,500 square meters and offer a stay of about two hours.

“Peppa Pig is one of the world’s leading pre-school brand properties. The popular television series is broadcasted in 180 territories in 40 languages. Peppa Pig World of Play, Indoor Play Centre Leidschendam is Merlin’s first place in Europe where little piggies can step into Peppa Pig’s world. It’s guaranteed to be a truly memorable experience for families and something to really look forward to visiting,” says Vincent Pronk, Attractions Manager.

Belonging to the Merlin division of Midway Attractions, there are so far one of the indoor play centres in Shanghai and three in the USA (Dallas/Texas, Chicago/Illinois and Michigan). (eap)
