Finland: Valo Motion Introduces “ValoArena“ for Mixed-Reality Active Whole-Body Gaming Experience

Finnish company Valo Motion introduces “ValoArena“, a new product that is a multiplayer arena for mixed-reality gaming experiences. Groups of up to six players can choose between three different games and play them on the platform, where they have to interact with each other in both the real-physical and virtual space. Thanks to a special camera technology developed by Valo Motion there is no further need for headsets and hand controllers for the interactive gameplay.

“[…] With our previous products, we learned that playing together with a group of friends is the most fun and rewarding way to be active. With ValoArena, we wanted to create a game platform that allows a bigger group to experience active games together. The pandemic has caused kids and teens to become less active at an alarming rate. We are hoping that the spirit of physical, social gaming will further motivate people to get active and find new joy in exercising,” explains Valo Motion’s CEO Raine Kajastila the new product, which now expands the company‘s existing portfolio of the interactive trampoline game “ValoJump“ and the interactive climbing game “ValoClimb“.

The first installation of the “ValoArena“ will open this Saturday (19 February) at SuperPark in Vantaa, Finland. “Valo Motion is really pushing the limits, and we are proud to be working with them. We believe that ValoArena will bring a ‘wow‘ experience to our new and existing visitors, who we are looking forward to hosting and surprising. The earlier games – ValoClimb and ValoJump – are still very much enjoyed by families, kids, and groups. We are super excited for Saturday when the first visitors get to experience ValoArena in our Vantaa location,“ says Kirsi Ojakoski, Country Director at SuperPark Finland.

The next ValoArena installation will be completed in the Netherlands this month, together with Valo Motion‘s partner ELI Play. (eap)
