Simtec Driving Simulator at New Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart

The Braunschweig-based company has contributed two novel driving simulators to the new Mercedes-Benz Museum that opened on 20 May. The simulators are rightly regarded as the highlight of the museum, forming a bridge between automotive history and the future. The simulators’ concept is based on the innovative HEXaDRIVE HOVER motion system that has been used in scientific research for about a year now. A more realistic road experience will now be made possible, and Simtec’s goal is to allow the driving simulators to be used both for entertainment purposes, as well as R&D. You can read more on the subject of simulation in our special feature of EAP magazines issue 4/06. (eap)
