v.l.: Winston Fisher and Michael Beneville

A second AREA15 location in the USA has been announced, this time to open in Orlando, Florida in 2024, following the example of the entertainment district based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The original AREA15, which opened in 2020, includes attractions such as the Meow Wolf experience “Omega Mart” and, most recently opened, “Liftoff”, an aerobar from the French company Aerophile. In Orlando, visitors will be offered a versatile mix of art, entertainment, shopping, gastronomy and additionally a changing show program, events and concerts.

“AREA15 was built for today’s social dynamics. Sophisticated consumers are gravitating toward artful new forms of entertainment where the lines between commerce and the experience economy blur. AREA15 Orlando is the ideal city for our second location, providing an ecosystem where innovative design, best-in-class attractions, integrated storytelling, monumental art installations, extraordinary technology and distinctive retail thrive together,” explained Winston Fisher, chief executive officer, AREA15. “AREA15 looks forward to cultivating a collaborative spirit with Orlando’s creative community, as well as adding a distinctive new destination within the city’s world-famous tourism corridor. We’re all immensely energized by the possibilities our Orlando development offers,” added AREA15’s Chief Creative Officer Michael Beneville.

AREA15 Orlando will occupy approximately 27,800 square meters (300,000 square feet) on an almost seven-hectare-large (17-acre) site, of which nearly 14,000 square meters (150,000 square feet) will be leasable retail space. Behind the development of AREA15 Orlando are the real estate development firm Fisher Brothers and the creative agency Beneville Studios. (eap)
