UAE: Global Village Dubai Gives Outlook on Novelties – 27th Season to Kick-off in October

The Global Village, located on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Dubai, which is a multicultural leisure destination combining retail, restaurants, attractions and entertainment along a promenade, has announced 27 pavilions and a new concept for its “Road of Asia” for its upcoming 27th season, which starts on 25 October this fall and will run through April 2023. The two countries Qatar and Oman will be represented for the first time.

Under the motto of “Celebrating the Wonders of the World”, the Global Village once again wants to bring together different cultures of the world: In the country pavilions there will be local arts and crafts, national foods, cultural entertainment and authentic products of the respective regions of the world to discover. Entrepreneurs will also have the opportunity to use the Global Village as a platform to grown their business.

The “Road of Asia”, which consists of kiosks dedicated to local products from different Asian countries, has been given a fresh concept for the upcoming season. There will be 43 kiosks from 13 Asian countries not represented through a pavilion, including Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Laos and Nepal. In addition to typical products and designs, the cultures and traditions will also be presented.

Mohamed Sharaf, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Holding Entertainment (operator of Global Village and other leisure venues in Dubai), said: “Global Village has been a regional and international phenomenon for over two decades, helping cement Dubai as a global hub for entertainment and tourism. Season 26 saw record footfall and the whole team is working hard to build on the last season’s accomplishments to ensure next season’s success. Planning and construction is on track for the October 25th opening, and we are all looking forward to an unmissable line-up of new attractions, shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences.” (eap)
