The Dutch EuroParcs Group headquartered in Appeldoorn was founded in 1981 and today has over 60 holiday park locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria. More than 1,100 employees at EuroParcs take care of creating unforgettable holiday moments for around 600,000 guests per year. Last year, the company continued its expansion in Europe with the take-over of its first facility in Germany (the Biggesee-Waldenburg campground in the Sauerland region) Earlier this year, the holiday park operator announced its plans to build its second site in Germany on the Baltic Sea island of Rügen. For this purpose, EuroParcs acquired the Landhotel Kiebitzort in Ummanz, which is now undergoing modernization works.

With the acquisition of the Kohnenhof campsite in the village of Hosingen on the River Our, the EuroParcs Group has now sealed its entry into the Luxembourg market. This month saw the start of the first house sales phase at the Kohnenhof holiday park, which will in future offer a chalet park with a total of 82 units and a campsite with 60 parking spaces. “We are very pleased about the acquisition by the EuroParcs Group. Kohnenhof Holiday Park is located in a beautiful location in the Luxembourg Ardennes,” said Andries Bruil, CCO of the EuroParcs Group. “We are convinced that the new location will offer a great vacation experience to both the buyers and the tenants of our vacation homes.”

With its offerings at this location in the north of Luxembourg, not far from the border with Germany, the provider aims to appeal primarily to hiking and cycling enthusiasts, silver agers and other active vacationers, as well as younger generations. Since 2013, the Aqua Nat’Our swimming & adventure pool, which belongs to the Kannewischer Group, has been located near the holiday park complex. With a 25-meter sports pool, a diving area, a learning pool, the “Red Slide” tube slide and a toddler’s pool, it offers pure swimming fun on a total of more than 3,500 square meters. (eap)
