Partnership Agreed between Lappset and Angry Birds

The popular video game Angry Birds, developed by computer game developer Rovio, will be integrated into the leisure park industry during the next year. The manufacturer of playground equipment Lappset and the Finnish developer Rovio Entertainment Oy have made an agreement about their worldwide cooperation to combine the brand with their playground equipment. Lappset will design and manufacture an entire collection of Angry Birds playground equipment as well as a variety of complete Angry Birds Activity Parks. The first activity parks will be built in Finland’s cities of Rovaniemi and Espoo. Moreover, the city of Espoo has preliminary ordered five further activity parks. As CEO Juha Laakkonen explains, Lappset plans to expand its business activities on the Asian market and enhance its product portfolio by offering Angry Birds playground equipment. (eap)
