Abu Dhabi’s New Waterpark Has a Name: Yas Waterworld Aqua Park

In EAP issue 1/2012 we reported on the waterpark that is being built on Yas Island. Now it’s official: the waterpark will be called “Yas Waterworld Aqua Park”. More than 40 attractions, including spectacular waterslides and rides will be on offer at the new destination. The park’s story about the young Emirati girl Dana who is in search of a legendary pearl which brought prosperity to the people of her village was created especially for the park. Construction works are in progress and so it was a big iconic pearl that has been installed 45 meters above the ground recently as the centerpiece of the theming, drawing visitors to the waterpark when it opens in late 2012.
