Sentosa and Merlin bring Madame Tussauds to Singapore

(v.l.n.r.): Meike Schulze, Divisional Director of Merlin Entertainments, & Mike Barclay, CEO of Sentosa Development Corporation. Wachsfiguren: Jay Chou, Katy Perry und Kate Winslet.

As recently announced, the brand-new Madame Tussauds Singapore attraction is going to be opened at Singapore’s Sentosa Island this year. In the context of their new partnership, Sentosa Development Corporation, manager of the island resort, and Merlin Entertainments (Merlin) will bring Merlin’s iconic global attraction to Singapore. Furthermore, Merlin takes on the management of Sentosa’s popular Images of Singapore (IOS) attraction, including a significant investment programme to relaunch the exhibition (originally opened in 1983) as an exciting, contemporary world-class attraction. The new Madame Tussauds attraction will open at Imbiah Lookout, a cluster of several tourist attractions on Sentosa. Besides Madame Tussauds London, the new attraction will be the only Madame Tussauds incorporating a ride into the experience. (eap)
