Sweden: Liseberg to Introduce New Virtual Queuing System in April

In order ro reduce long waiting times at attractions Sweden’s Liseberg park will integrate a new virtual queue line system for visitors, which will premier with the opening of the new “Underland“ (cf. EAP 2/2020) dark ride experience, located in the kids area “Kaninlandet“ (the “Rabbit Land“). Visitors will first have to register for the system via the Liseberg app or on the park’s official website. The solution, which was created by Liseberg in cooperation with the digital agency Creuna, will assign the user the available time slot for the ride, so that there is no need to queue and guests can spend their time on the adjacent playground or explore the rest of the park.

“We believe that by integrating digital solutions in the park experience, we can create more value for our guests. It’s a complex system that we are testing this summer, and if everything goes as planned, we see an opportunity to apply the solution to other popular rides in the park,“ comments Andreas Andersen, CEO and President of Liseberg. The new system will launch with the opening of “Underland“ on April 25th 2020. (eap)
