Germany: Schloss Dankern Vacation & Leisure Park Open Again

Germany’s family-friendly vacation & leisure park Ferienzentrum Schloss Dankern located in the Emsland-region has been welcoming back guests since the end of June. “I am pleased to see that the park is revitalized”, says park owner Friedhelm Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen. “The operations with the Corona rules is running smoothly and the atmosphere in the park is very good," he resumes after a few days of operation. „Like every other hotel and accommodation we had to struggle hard with the cancelation business at first, we can now fortunately look forward to an enormously high level of interest in the holiday centre and a very good occupancy rate since its opening," comments Managing Director Caroline Freifrau von Landsberg-Velen satisfied.

Almost all areas of the leisure park are back open, but the cinema, the “1680“ club and the “Zwergentreff“ kindergarden remain closed until further notice. All the overnight guests have also the right to enter the “Topas“ indoor waterpark. For daily visitors the Ferienzentrum developed several new attractions. With an investment of around 56,000 euros, a new water playground was implemented by Dutch manufacturer iPlay Water Attractions, which is located right next to the outdoor pool. The new water play area dedicated to children includes 22 water play elements with water running at all times and a large tipping bucket, which holds 800 liters of water.

A new interactive Valo Jump trampoline experience by Valo Motion, which combines jumping and the digital world, was installed at the indoor playground. The real image of the jumper is captured with key effect and depth measurement and interactively transferred into a computer game. “Guests just love this special trampoline attraction,“ comments the park owner family. Last but not least, the popular high ropes course has also been extended by a new 200-metre long zip line from Balance. The zip line allows visitors to “fly“ through the forest at speed and experience the surroundings from a completely new perspective. (eap)
