Nürburgring: Ferrari Showroom

Even though the German Ferrari hero Michael Schumacher has been out of the Formula 1 driving seat for a while now, Ferrari still casts a spell over German fans. In such, it comes as no surprise that from June 2009 on, a special Ferrari showroom featuring sinfully expensive dream cars and exclusive accessories from the noble garage in Maranello will be open to Ferrari fans at the legendary Nürburgring. Driving lessons will also be organised here, too. A partnership contract for a showroom on the new boulevard was signed in the pit lane of the Nürburgring in late August. Set to become the new Ferrari mecca for fans and customers, the 235-square-metre shopping area will boast an extended range of original and licensed Ferrari products. Dr Walter Kafitz, managing director of Nürburgring GmbH, says of the deal with the "red" brand: "We are immensely proud that the Ferrari name brand, an icon of racing, is going to use our new boulevard as its platform." (eap)
