Phantasialand, Brühl: “Matamba” Celebrates Construction Start of Second Themed Hotel

In late April Phantasialand celebrated the groundwork of its second themed hotel called Matamba, which is scheduled to open this summer. For the hotel’s interior décor, Phantasialand is once again having exclusive objects produced in a small village of artisans in Cameroon. Matamba will have 120 custom-tailored rooms (500 beds) for overnight guests. Authentic cuisine will also be offered at the family restaurant with room for 200 people, and the à la carte restaurant for 70 people. The three-star-plus hotel is especially geared to the needs of guests with children. 16.5 million euros were invested in the project. With its second themed hotel, Phantasialand is emphasising its intensified, distinct orientation as a mini-break destination. (eap)
