Japan: New Videos Show Concept Plans for Eighth Theme Port “Fantasy Springs“ at Tokyo DisneySea

For the new “Fantasy Springs“ theme port already under development at Tokyo DisneySea, the DisneyParks Blog now shows detailed concept plans for its three related theme areas of “Frozen“, “Peter Pan“ and “Tangled“ in recently posted videos. In 2018, the expansion plans for the Japanese park, which is part of the Tokyo Disney Resort operated by Oriental Land Co., Ltd., had been presented announcing a new theme port with three IP areas and a luxury hotel (cf. EAP news of 15 June 2018). Each of the three theme areas will feature multiple attractions and restaurants, immersing visitors into the world of their favorite Disney IPs. The videos can be seen here on the DisneyParks blog. “Fantasy Springs“ will be the eighth theme port in Tokyo DisneySea, with completion slated for 2023.

In addition to the DisneySea park expansion and the new attractions opened at Tokyo Disneyland Park last fall (cf. EAP news of 18 Sept 2020), there will soon be a new overnight stay option for multi-day visitors in the form of the new “Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story® Hotel“. The theming of the “moderate type“ hotel (the resort’s first in this category) will be based on Disney-Pixar’s “Toy Story“ computer-animated film series. There will be a total of 595 rooms on twelve floors (eleven above ground + basement). Also, the hotel will include a restaurant, a shop and its own parking lot. This new accommodation offering, the cost of which amounts to some 242 million Euros (31.5 billion Yen), is planned to become available still in fiscal 2021.

Other Disney theme park destinations around the world also continue investing in their visitor offer: Read more about upcoming investments and planned new attractions in Disneyland Resort in Anaheim (CA) and Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando (FL) in your upcoming EAP magazine issue, available as of May 3rd.
