GB: Sleeping with Elefants and Cheetahs – West Midland Safari Park Opens Safari Lodges Overnight Accommodation

The West Midland Safari Park, which is located in the English city of Kidderminster around 35 kilometres south-west of Birmingham, combines a zoo and theme park experience. On the one hand, the park is home to 120 species and on the other, it offers 20 ride attractions in its related “Adventure Theme Park“. To further upgrade the visitor experience at the destination, the park has recently opened the new “Safari Lodges“, which are now available for booking.

A special feature of the eight new lodges is the direct vista into the new cheetah and elephant habitats – according to the park, this is the first accommodation of this kind in the UK. For visitors who want to get close to the African Elephants, the park offers six double-storey houses with thatched roofs and a spacious balcony which offers a great view over the elephant inhabitat. The two single-storey lodges detached to the cheetah enclosure offer panoramic views to observe the planet’s fastest mammal through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The overnight stay in a Safari Lodge includes dinner and breakfast as well as the entrance fee for the park. During the summer season, a wristband for the “Adventure Theme Park“ will also be included. Chris Kelly, managing director of West Midlands Safari Parks, says: “It’s been a long journey, but we are absolutely delighted to have finally opened our doors and welcome guests to our Safari Lodges experience. […] Our lodges are going to offer a special and unforgettable Safari-stay right here in the Midlands. Guests will be able to get closer than ever before to our wildlife and make friends with their animal neighbours.“ (eap)
