Abu Dhabi/UAE: Miral Announces Construction of New Indoor Park on Yas Island

Mohammed Al Zaabi, CEO, Miral Asset Management

As the Arab company Miral Asset Management officially announced yesterday, Abu Dhabi’s entertainment offer on Yas Island will be extended by adding a new indoor park, which is scheduled to open by 2018.

CLYMB is the name of the new indoor facility, including a flight chamber for skydiving, which – according to the company – will be the world’s widest flight chamber until to date with its width of 9.75 meters (32 feet). Furthermore, the park features indoor climbing walls the highest of which measures 43 meters in height, creating another world’s record. The climbing walls offer a challenge to beginners, intermediates and expert climbers as they will have the chance to scale four walls of varying difficulty. Alongside these two activity attractions, CLYMB will include retailers, food and beverage offers and a space to host events. The attraction will be linked to the nearby Yas Mall to connect the location with further entertainment and leisure offerings.

“This project is an important and distinctive addition to the unique portfolio of destinations developed by Miral on Yas Island. With the world’s widest flight chamber and tallest indoor climbing wall coming to Abu Dhabi, we will offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy exceptional experiences that combine excitement and adventure together,” said Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral. Zublin Construction L.L.C. has been appointed by Miral as the main contractor to carry on the construction work, which has already commenced on the site. At the beginning of this October, the 100 million US Dollar project had reached a development progress of 35%.

In addition to the new indoor park, next year Yas Island will also see the opening of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi (c.f. EAP news from April 21st, 2016). (eap)
