China: Construction Works for Wanda City’s New Wooden Coaster Completed

As Great Coasters International announced, the US-based rollercoaster manufacturer has completed the construction and final testing of its newest wooden rollercoaster “Viper” at Wanda City Theme Park in Nanchang, China this month. The new attraction will reach heights of up to 49 meters and speeds of almost 100 kilometers per hour, making it – according to Great Coasters International – the company’s fastest wooden coaster to date. Viper will feature a track length of 1.5 kilometers and a drop at 43 meters. The coaster’s opening is scheduled for next year. “We are extremely happy to have been in such a close relationship with Nanchang Wanda City Investment Co. throughout this project and can’t wait for the grand opening in 2016,” Clain Hain, president and owner of Great Coaster International, says.
