Hong Kong: Opening Date for Water World Indoor Water Park is Set

Now the date is set: The opening of the brand-new Water World Ocean Park Hong Kong has been scheduled for 21 September of this year. This means that there will be around six years between the official ground-breaking ceremony and the opening of the indoor water park, which is part of the well-known Ocean Park Hong Kong theme park (see EAP news of 10 November 2015 & EAP issue 1/16). Admission tickets can already be booked now – guests can benefit from a dynamic pricing model right from the start.

The attraction highlights of the water park include the 17-meter long and eight-lane mat slide “Rainbow Rush presented by The Club”, which will be designed in rainbow colors and offer guests a high-speed sliding experience.

Paulo Pong, Deputy Chairman of Ocean Park, said, “We are excited that we are entering the final countdown towards the grand opening of Water World, and readying ourselves to welcome adventurers of all ages and walks of life to splash into adventure with us. And we specially thank HKT for coming forward to support Water World with The Club’s title sponsorship of Rainbow Rush. It is a ride full of fun surprises and lasting memories, and a great opportunity for HKT customers to go faster and enjoy more unforgettable experiences.” [Editor’s note: HKT Limited (Hong Kong Telecommunications) is one of the largest telecommunication companies in Hong Kong.]
