SeaWorld Orlando to Debut New Rollercoaster in 2016

2009 wurde Manta im SeaWorld Orlando eröffnet. 2016 soll die nächste Achterbahn folgen.

Last Friday, SeaWorld Orlando announced to open the tallest, fastest and longest rollercoaster in Orlando next year. Apart from a planned height of 200 feet (approx. 61 meters), the theme park gave only few details about the coaster. The new attraction, which joins the park’s “Kraken” and “Manta” rollercoasters, would not be able to hold this record for a very long time as 2017 will see the opening of the new, 173 meter high “Skyscraper™” attraction on I-Drive (read more about this in our upcoming magazine issue EAP 3/2015). It seems reasonable to suppose that Orlando’s SeaWorld park aims to diversify its attraction offer in order to continue to assert its position in the competitive theme park market of Orlando. According to SeaWorld, further details will be released in late May. (eap)
