USA: Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park Opens Defiance, the Highest Looping Coaster in the U.S.

In the mountains of Colorado at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park the probably highest Euro-Fighter by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides (in partnership with Ride Entertainment) will officially open on 9 July. “Defiance” – the name of the spectacular coaster built at almost 2,200 meters above sea level – already carries the challenge in its name. “With its record-breaking elements, Defiance is sure to become instantly recognizable around the world,” said Nancy Heard, General Manager of Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. “Perched atop America’s only mountain-top theme park, riders will experience a thrills and view unlike any other and we are looking forward to giving our guests this unique experience,” Heard said.
After climbing nearly 23 meters to the highest point, the coaster car will shoot down the 33.5-meter long and more than 102-degree inclined freefall and then run through numerous thrill ride elements.
