USA: Sprockets Fun Foundry Now Open Including Extensive VR Offerings

The Sprockets Fun Foundry, a new FEC located in the small town of Keystone, South Dakota (USA), not far from the presidential monument Mount Rushmore, now opened its doors to visitors for the first time and offers VR experiences in addition to numerous arcade stations and pin ball. These include the virtual racing simulator “Blitz“ and a VR Arena from German manufacturer Hologate, as well as “ParadropVR“ from Frontgrid. With ParadropVR, guests embark on a virtual paragliding flight (see EAP 1/2019). At the installation in Sprocket‘s Fun Foundry – incidentally the first in the USA – guests can choose between three game contents, each set in a mountain scenery and belonging to the “Paradrop VR Discovery Series“ (see image).

Frontgrid CEO Matt Wells comments: “[…] Flyers are invited to discover their environment, by following paths marked out by rings in the sky and the natural lay of the landscape. They explore the snowy heights of the mountain tops, a secret cave system and follow a river through the more-lush lowlands.” (eap)
