USA: Disney Wish – to Feature Interactive Offerings for Kids and Teenagers
In Summer 2022, the new Disney Wish ocean liner of Disney’s cruise ship company Disney Cruise Lines will set sail for its maiden voyage. The new cruise ship will offer Disney-style attractions, experiences and entertainment from bow to stern. As the company has now announced, the offerings will include a large variety of interactive experiences especially for children and teenagers. “Star Wars: Cargo Bay“ will offer a travel through the galaxies, where children will be able to immerse themselves into the role of a “creature hendler“ and will take care of different galactic beings. Throughout their vacation, the children will be able to use an AR datapad to track and study the creatures and show their knowledge during the interactive “Star Wars: Creature Challenge“.
For the smallest ones, the ship will provide a nautic themed playground with slides, crawl-through tunnels, ship wheels and many more playful elements. With “Minnie’s Captain Academy“ kids can join a joyful training session on the playground. At “Marvel Super Hero Academy“, “Belle’s Library“, “Snuggly Ducklin“ and “Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus“ guests will also have the opportunity to meet well-known characters. Teenagers and young adults will have the chance to relax, make new friends or dance at the three clubs “Edge“ (age 11 to 14), “Vibe“ (age 14 to 17) and “The Hideaway“ (age 17 to 20).
“With even more spaces, stories and characters than ever before, the stage is set for a line-up of truly remarkable new experiences for children aboard the Disney Wish,” said Jim Urry, vice president, entertainment and port adventures, at Disney Cruise Line, and added: “We’re combining renowned Disney entertainment, expertly developed programming and imaginative storytelling to put kids in the center of their own adventures right alongside some of Disney’s most beloved characters, […].” For more details about the new Disney Wish do not miss our upcoming EAP issue 6/2021, which will be available as of Novemeber 1st.
