Roller Coaster Academy at Holiday Park Hassloch

Park director Wolfgang Schneider and roller coaster guru Werner Stengel are linked by their longstanding collaboration: Stengel built the famous “GeForce” for the Holiday Park. The two have now founded the Roller Coaster Academy and started a competition for a “completely new and innovative roller coaster for the whole family.” More than 180 entries were submitted, upon which the initiators invited 40 engineers at short notice to the first Academy Day with Werner Stengel on the 20th of May, instead of the intended 12. After the Academy Day in Hassloch, participants will have three months to revise their drafts and submit them for re-evaluation. The engineers with the 12 best designs will then be re-invited to Hassloch to nominate the winner together with Werner Stengel. The grand prize of EUR 25,000 will go to the creator of the draft that Holiday Park chooses to construct. (eap)
