Canada: Connect&GO Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Global technology company Connect&GO, which is headquartered in Montréal/Canada, is celebrating ten years of technological milestones in guest and attraction management. “The journey of the past ten years has truly been inspiring,” said Dominic Gagnon, Connect&GO CEO and co-founder. “We are humbled to have worked with some of the largest brands in the world, with each partnership teaching us something new about the unique challenges that operators face in creating a seamless guest experience.”

In 2013, the company was founded by serial entrepreneur Gagnon and Anthony Palermo, who specializes in RFID technology. Their first project was a program designed to increase guest engagement at Saputo Stadium in Montreal. In a pilot project called “The Key to the Stadium”, the two developed a system that included RFID media, entry controls, contactless payment, and photo and F&B integrations. The project turned out to be successful, so that the Connect&GO system was soon more in demand.

The founders started with a focus on the event industry, which soon expanded to applications for the leisure industry. Today, Connect&GO’s technology is present in numerous leisure facilities in the US, Canada, Europe and the UK. With their “Konnect” platform, released in 2020, Connect&GO combines e-commerce ticket sales, F&B, RFID entry controls and cashless payment by storing guest data centrally in a “virtual wallet” rather than spread across separate systems.

“Our goal is to help attractions operators embrace technology that can help solve the pain points of today while unlocking new opportunities to grow guest engagement, revenue and ROI. We’re thrilled to have helped our clients accomplish just that over the past ten years and can’t wait for the next decade,” said Palermo. (eap)
