New Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter Opens in June 2023

On 16 June this year, the doors of the new Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter will open for the first time to Harry Potter fans from Japan and guests from all over the world. The experience world of film scenes and sets, which is modelled on the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London that opened in 2012 and has been extremely successful with over 17 million visitors to date, is in its final construction phase on the site of the former Toshimaen amusement park (one of Tokyo’s many leisure attractions until its closure in summer 2020).

In addition to the main locations familiar from the Harry Potter films such as “The Great Hall”, “Platform 9 ¾” and the “Forbidden Forest”, the world’s only second Harry Potter Studio Tour location (and thus the first in all over Asia) will feature some exclusive set recreations, props and costumes. There will also be film scenes from the spin-off “Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them” to discover. Those who wish will be able to take a seat on the Hogwarts Express and, thanks to green screen technology, experience a journey to the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry themselves, mingle with the crowd at a Quidditch game and marvel at a moving portrait of themselves in the castle’s halls.
