Ettlingen / Baden-Wuerttemberg: Clostermann design Honoured for Foreign Activities

Clostermann design received the „Global Connect Award“ from the German Industrie- und Handelskammer, Handwerk International and the Messe Stuttgart at the end of October. The Ettlingen-based company designs and builds sceneries and characters for theme parks, museums and water parks. With their focus on attractions and action-loaded entertainment, Clostermann generates 90 percent of their sales volume in foreign countries. Christiane Rudigier, Managing Director of Clostermann design, received the prize during the reception of the Baden-Wuerttemberg government in the new castle in Stuttgart. For her, the award confirms their foreign strategy: “I hope that this prize would contribute to create more public awareness for export-oriented middle-class companies and to reduce administrative obstacles – especially regarding the current discussion about qualified personnel.” – Since 2004 Clostermann design have increasingly focused on foreign markets and with this have been able to virtually increase fivefold their total revenue to 2.8 million Euros.
