France: Disneyland Paris Reveals Details on “Hotel New York® – The Art of Marvel”
This past weekend, Disneyland Paris has revealed further details on the renovation of its New York Hotel, which is scheduled to reopen in summer 2020 with a new design under the name of Hotel New York® – The Art of Marvel (cf. EAP News f. Sept 1st, 2017). Guests can look forward to a luxurious, modern hotel reminiscent of New York City’s Manhattan district with a sleek interior design in the style of the Avengers’ headquarters out of the Marvel productions and in the taste of Marvel superhero “Tony Stark”.
In its public areas, the hotel will display a diverse wealth of art from the Marvel universe, including comic art, film, design, costumes and more. The overnight accommodation offer will comprise 476 standard rooms, 65 executive rooms and eight standard suites. The room interiors will reflect a sophisticated urban style with a color palette reminiscent of Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit and art featuring Marvel superheroes. The suites will be fashioned around Marvel’s superheroes and New York City themes.
The redesign of Hotel New York is part of comprehensive investment plans to be implemented in Disneyland Paris during the next years. Those include the expansion of the Walt Disney Studios Park by three new theme areas, based on Marvel and the two Disney IPs “Frozen” and “Star Wars” (cf. our Disney report in EAP, 3/2018). (eap)
