Germany: Hansa-Park Announces New Theme Area for 2020

A few months after the opening of “Highlander” – a new, 120-meter high drop tower attraction for thrill seekers (cp. EAP 4/2019) – Germany’s Hansa-Park now announced its plans to open a new theme area in 2020, which will be dedicated to a younger target group.

At the site of the existing “The Bell” (G.: “Die Glocke”) pendulum ride in the “Kingdoms of the North” park area, construction works on the new theme area dubbed “Awilda’s World” (G.: “Awildas Welt”) are set to begin this winter. It will feature two main attractions: A water ride (“Awilda’s Adventure Tour”) open for guests with a body height of min. 90 centimeters as well as a new, eleven meter high family drop tower (“Awilda’s Lookout”). The concept design for the new theme area is provided by Alex Korting. (eap)
