Saudi Arabia: Brian Machamer Appointed Park President of Six Flags Qiddiya

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation recently announced the appointment of Brian Machamer to future park president of the new Six Flags Qiddiya theme park in Saudi Arabia (cf. EAP news 27 Aug 2019), which is currently under construction and will open to visitors in 2023. With over 25 years of professional experience in the leisure business, Manchamer is an industry veteran – amongst other positions, he held positions at Universal and Resort World Genting in Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia. “I am thrilled to welcome Brian to the Six Flags International team to lead one of the most ambitious theme park and entertainment projects on the planet. Brian‘s extensive development and park operational experience will be invaluable as we move forward to create a world-class global destination,“ comments David McKillips, President of Six Flags International Development.

In his new position Brian Machamer will be responsible for the park‘s overall operations, including strategic planning, budgeting and work processes. Machamer says: “This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I am excited to join this impressive team to help introduce Six Flags‘ signature brand of thrills to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.“ (eap)
