GaLaBau Kicks Off in Nuremberg – Focus on Play Spaces
Numerous planners and suppliers of themed play equipment are exhibiting at GaLaBau.

(eap) Starting today and running through Friday, 18 September, the “green industry” is gathering at the NürnbergMesse exhibition grounds in Nuremberg, Germany, for the 2026 edition of GaLaBau. Around 1,100 exhibitors are presenting their products, services and solutions for gardening and landscaping across a total of 14 exhibition halls as well as several activity areas. Key topics include current industry issues such as climate adaptation, digitalisation, artificial intelligence and securing skilled labour. A diverse supporting programme complements the international leading trade fair, which is held every two years by NürnbergMesse in cooperation with the Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau e.V. (BGL – German Federal Association of Gardening, Landscaping and Sports Facilities Construction) as its conceptual sponsor.
One of GaLaBau’s dedicated presentation areas focuses on sports and leisure facilities: The Bundesverband für Spielplatzgeräte- und Freizeitanlagen-Hersteller e.V. (BSFH – German Association of Playground and Leisure Facility Manufacturers) is once again hosting the “BSFH Meeting Point” as an industry meeting place for professionals involved in the planning, construction and operation of playgrounds, sports and leisure facilities. Experts will be available to trade fair visitors as contacts for projects of all kinds. Key themes in playground design include activity-friendly play spaces, inclusion, sustainability and safety.
Relevant exhibitors in this segment include numerous manufacturers of themed play equipment serving both municipal and privately funded projects, among them Berliner Seilfabrik, Kinderland, hochkant, HUCK Seiltechnik, Spielart Laucha, Wiegand Slides, KristallTurm, Richter Spielgeräte, SIK-Holzgestaltung and water play equipment supplier Vortex Aquatic Structures.
Around 66,000 trade visitors attended GaLaBau 2024 – including professionals and executives from the European leisure industry looking to learn more about new developments in play equipment and the latest landscaping trends.
